Median annual income for a family of 4 in San Bernardino County is $65,000.

Section 8 Eligibility
To be income-eligible for admission to the Section 8 program, a family’s annual income may not exceed 50% of the median income, adjusted for family size (very low-income).  However, due to income-targeting requirements, UHA may require a family to qualify as extremely low-income (30% of median income) to be eligible for admission.

lic Housing Eligibility
To be income-eligible for admission to the Public Housing program, a family’s annual income may not exceed 80% of the median income, adjusted for family size (low-income).  However, due to income-targeting requirements, UHA may require a family to qualify as extremely low-income (30% of median income) to be eligible for admission. 

Coy D. Estes Senior Housing
To be income-eligible, at initial lease a family’s annual income may not exceed 60% of median income for the area, adjusted for family size.  However, due to income-targeting requirements, the maximum income to qualify for an affordable unit may be further restricted.
After initial eligibility, affordable households remain affordable until total household income exceeds 140% of median income, adjusted for family size.
